This page documents the verbal opt-in workflow for Vaolithic Scheduling staff and
administrator operational SMS notifications across portfolio facilities.
SMS consent is optional. Staff and administrators can use Vaolithic Scheduling without
agreeing to receive SMS messages, and they can opt out at any time by replying STOP.

During staff onboarding, account setup, or profile setup, an administrator asks the
staff member for verbal permission before Vaolithic Scheduling enables SMS messages.

How recipients opt in
The staff member or administrator provides their mobile phone number during onboarding,
account setup, or profile setup.
A facility administrator reads the verbal SMS disclosure shown above.
The staff member verbally confirms that they agree to receive operational scheduling
messages. Consent is optional and is not required for marketing or promotional messages.
The administrator records the verbal consent source, date, time, and phone number before
enabling SMS messages for that user.
If the recipient does not verbally answer yes, SMS is not enabled for that phone number.
How consent is recorded and stored
Vaolithic stores the recipient phone number, consent status, consent source, consent
timestamp, recording administrator, and any later STOP opt-out event. Staff sharing a
phone number or phone-number mismatch rows are blocked from being marked opted in until
reviewed by an administrator.
Confirmation message
After SMS consent is saved, the recipient receives this confirmation message:
